Dragonfly Bridge - Pedestrian bridge and boardwalk

Our team have carried out the supply and installation of a Bison Bridge and board walk at Carvers Rocks, an SSSI located at the southern end of Foremark Reservoir in Derbyshire.

The reserve boasts rare habitats, including one of the last areas of lowland heath in Derbyshire. These characteristically damp locations provide an abundant wildlife haven but also a challenge for traditional timber structured boardwalks and bridges.

Our installation team removed a failed wooden bridge and boardwalk from the location and carried out the full installation of a replacement structure.

Bison products were selected for this project, using 100% recycled plastic decking boards and posts as a rot-free, long life solution for this environment.
